Anything this good must be bad.
That's the prevailing attitude when it comes to caffeine, isn't it? We crave it. We guzzle it. It makes us feel good -- better able to handle an overbearing boss or an unruly pack of toddlers. But then... we feel guilty about it, suspecting that sooner or later, it's going to do us in.
In reality, it's not the guilty pleasure everyone makes it out to be -- in fact, a little caffeine can do you good. So feel free to grab a tall breakfast blend while we set the record straight.
Long-term caffeine consumption is just plain bad for me.
False. That myth exists in part because smokers, who metabolize caffeine twice as fast as nonsmokers, drink more coffee. And smokers have more health problems. But nicotine, not caffeine, is the culprit. As long as you don't have high blood pressure, heart arrhythmia, or anxiety, drinking caffeinated beverages for years is no problem, says Harris Lieberman, Ph.D., a research psychologist for the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine.
So grab your cups ladies and do more for coffee and fair trade globally.

From the page: "Here 'thanda' means 'Krishi Cola! Highly inspired by yoga guru Baba Ramdev, the dairy science department of the CSA University of Agriculture and Technology has developed this drink from drained water of 'paneer' .
Priced at Rs 5 per bottle, this drink comes as a major jolt to the aerated soft drinks due to its being highly nutritious, fat free and unadulterated, claimed experts.
'Krishi†cola is prepared out of drained water of 'paneer' which usually goes as waste otherwise. And perhaps, the initiative has been taken so that the farmers can use waste water product to add to their earnings and improve their standard of living.
"This drink is mineral-rich against their aerated counterparts that contain a high quantity of pesticides thus affecting health," said Anil Kumar Pandey, an MSc final year student of dairy technology, who is actively involved in this research that is being carried out for more than a year now.
Not only does it contain high quantity of minerals, but being a product of 'paneer' , it has all the milk constituents except fat.
It can also be prepared at home and can be preserved for several days by adding sodium benzoate. "
Truly interesting - must try out the drink!
